IN A NUTSHELL
Everything's about to change. It probably feels uncertain.
When nothing is familiar, don't be surprised if everything feels uncertain, which makes you uncomfortable. Not because there's something wrong with you. It's a natural part of starting something new. And for many people, this is the first major change they're navigating alone..
Happily, the uncertainty soon fades - but you can get a head start. When you understand who you are and how you react, the surer you'll feel, and the quicker you'll find your feet.
A COMMON EXPERIENCE
If any of this sounds like you...
Dreading Freshers' week while at the same time looking forward to it.
Feeling rushed in small talk conversations, choosing instead to take your time
Feeling exhausted after socialising - even though others seem to thrive on it
Wondering how everyone else seems to understands the rules while you don't.
Feeling like you have to be someone else to fit in with everyone else
Wondering why you can't seem to get your voice heard despite being assertive.
…you're in the right place. It shows you truly understand yourself, and that's where life with ease starts.
WHAT INTROVERT EASE IS
It's the operating manual for you and the world around you.
Introvert Ease gives you the operating manuals to the 3 levers that will make the most difference as a Fresher: knowing how your survival instinct, your introvert personality, and social situations work - and how to use them to your advantage.
The lessons are short by design — one idea at a time, making it easy to digest. Quick to start, quick to finish. You'll arrive at university more prepared than the rest of your year. (And there's a workbook to make it stick, too.)
WHAT'S INSIDE
The 3 key things worth knowing before you set off -
Your internal security system
How your brain & body work together to keep you safe and how you can easily tell when they're protecting you so that you can relax.
Your quiet side
Why you enjoy your own company, prefer deep conversations and how this will help you become an expert in your field.
The world around you
How to 'read the room' ahead of time so you know what to expect before you walk in, arrive prepared and know what to say.
THE OUTCOME
What will I be able to do differently?
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
- You'll understand that nerves are a sign that everything's working properly.
- You'll be able to tell which instances are more introvert and which are more extrovert.
- You'll understand why some parts of university life energise you and others drain you.
- You'll be able to read the room rather than second-guess what's going on.
- And you'll know that you don't have to become someone else to find your feet.
WHO'S BEHIND THIS
Hi, I'm Anna Seabourne.
I'm an ethnographer, a personality profiler, and a lifelong introvert. I've spent over twenty years helping quiet people find their feet in new situations, having been the new one myself many times across the globe, both as a student and a professional.
I built Introvert Ease to literally make life easier while you're learning the ropes. The world doesn't come with an operating manual for people like us, so I decided to write the one I wish I'd had.
